Government
New
construction, additions and renovations benefit form Basalay, Cary & Alstadt's
project delivery strategy which is guided by an experienced principal from initial
contact to completion. Special emphasis is placed on the project's management
of time, material, and cost to aid in protecting the Owners's interest, provide
optimal technical solutions and cost-saving options. Basalay, Cary & Alstadt
are focused on maximizing quality while minimizing costs to deliver space solutions
for secure, functional environments.
Streator
Dependable had out grown there facility and needed new quarters. Their solution
came from an abandoned glass manufacturing facility. For their offices, the
asked BC&A Architects for some fresh ides and image.
When
Potash Corporation wanted to create a multi-use facility to provide for local
office, safe haven and sales training at its Marseilles, Illinois PCS Phosphate
plant, they called on BC&A Architects to design the 7400 sf state of the
art facility.
A
new cafeteria and modern kitchen facility were designed to accommodate the current
student population. Due to increased enrollment, the original gymnasium had
also served as the cafeteria, restricting its use and impeding the process of
food service.
The
existing building was remodeled and a new addition was built in order to adequately
house a rural grade school with a kindergarten through 8th grade enrollment
capacity of 500 students.
BCA
Architects carried out sitework and the exterior and interior remodeling of
the existing 16,000-square foot building and designed two additions of 40,000
square feet.
A
classroom addition containing a music room, practice room, science lab, computer
lab, two special education rooms, and a language arts classroom were built.
A separate addition housed administration offices and served as a main entrance.
Four
schools within a unified school district needed additions of varying sizes and
purposes. A total of 48,100 square feet were added and all four schools were
remodeled.
